VF is not subsidizing FFXI_Gil's price. It's simply $15 less on VF than EGS.

$15 off EGS Middleman as stated in FFXI_Gil's VF thread.
EGS:FFXI_Gil is the same person as VF:FFXI_Gil. Be sure to PM FFXI_Gil here for his official policy on how to deal with this.

Why is VF doing this?
Everytime someone uses EGS Middleman, scammer EGS CEO Monarch gets a chunk of that money. When the opportunity arose to work directly with the current EGS Middleman: FFXI_Gil, we believed a collaborative effort (this is defined as: Ok you can MM here like everyone else) to stop scammers could exist between the current EGS Middleman:FFXI_Gil and Virtual FAQs.

Please let all your EGS friends know by private message or other means. It would be an absolute pity if even 5% of your MM transaction went to the EGS CEO scammer or just losing out on $15.

Danger: No doubt there will be lot of scammers who will try to confuse legit traders. Be sure to PM to verify and confirm:
